Totem animals

A shaman can connect you in different ways with totemanimals or poweranimals.
Also there are guide-animals who will stay with you for a longer time, or teachinganimals who can just stay for a short time only. You can have several connections with several animalspirits at one and the same time. A poweranimal can give help and insight by it’s spirit at your grow and personal development. Also can a poweranimal assist you in times when you are in need of some extra power. Shamans live strong in connection with the nature. The earth, the cosmos, the plants- en animalkingdom, the mineralskingdom, the sun, the moon, the winddirection. All has a spirit.
Every aspect of the nature has a special meaning. This in particular when it comes about animals that’ll cross our path or appear in our lives in our dreams or when we are awake but are drifted away in thoughts. Everything they’ve been trough, think or do has it’s influence on the nature, and everything what happens in that nature has it’s influence on us. Animals are our brothers and sisters, live in the same world as we do, breath the same air.
If we connect us with their spirits, we usually get answers on the most strange questions that we even could thing of. When you see the same animal several times on a day, you can see it as a message that’s in it for you. You can ask yourself what the animal wants to say to you.
You only have to listen and connect yourself with the animal’s spirit.
It can be your favorite pet, or an animal which you pass by daily when going to work. A bird that you see by coincidence when you’re on your way to an important conversation, or a picture of it, that you see a few times repeatedly…
Mostly when it comes about power or totemanimals we think of the biggest appearance as panters, horses, wolves or buzzards.
Wonderful!
But also a small mouse, an ant or a snail can be a poweranimal.
It all depends on your own unique situation, and on what the spirit of the animal wants to tell you. Connect yourself with his appearance, big or small. Search for the lesson that’s in there for you, what wants the animal to tell you? Notice his color, how does the animal act, what are his qualities, is it a flee-animal while you’re someone who doesn’t flee from a fight. Or are you someone that’s strongly there and appears at you as a mouse? Here can be found also a very big spiritual lesson within! A real eye opener, just watch it and search the message that lies beyond. We can find answers that we need, by watching to the animal’s behaviors very good. It’s about to edit or increase our perception in thát way, that we’ll find the answers via the animals in ourselves. And search in that way for the key how this special animal relates himself to specific questions, cares or joy that we pass along in certain times in our lives.

There are many different stories about shamans that traveled in trance searching for a connection and found with an animal.
Sometimes a battle went in front, sometimes an animal appears for just only to walk up with a shaman for a while and assist with his steps on the harder path of teaching for the shaman. Sometimes a shaman has to die figurative to connect himself with the spirit of a poweranimal. Sometimes he dies literally 1000 deaths. But after that he possessed the same powers as this animal and they could change to the conformation of the animal, or in other words, call his powers for healing, for battle and insights.

Alberto Villoldo has once been bitten by a snake! After that he went to the docter to leat his bite been treated for the poison, he went to a shaman to find out what it meant for him that the snake had bitten him.

In the Inca Shamanism we know 4 totemanimals that we always and everywhere come along in connection with the medicine wheel. The inca shaman works a lot with spirits of these animals. For his own healing and growing, but also for those of the people who occur a profession on his healing powers.
The Inca Shaman connects himself with the Four Wind directions where he greats with every direction always the same Poweranimal.


In the South, the shaman will connect himself with the Snake, our bodily and physical perception.
The snake stands for the path of healing.
Here you’ll learn about how to heal old wounds, and just like a snake, who can just let go his skin, you’ll let go your past.
You’ll go inside and search for your own wounds and try to heal them. A snake stands for a clear vision and adaptability.
Here you will learn to walk the path of ownlove, to be filled of your own beauty and also to be seen.



In the West, the shaman will connect himself with the Jaguar, our metal and emotional perception.
The Jaguar is the path of the warrior.
And stands for your fear for violence and loss. Here you’ll learn not to live as a victim full fair to die and to lose everything.
But especially as a victor from the will to live, full surrender. Here you will learn to find your inner peace. And see that you can battle like a warrior, but that you don’t need enemies if you react from your inner place of peace. Here you will learn the path of gentleness and peace.



In the North, the shaman will connect himself with the Kolibri, our soul and mystic ancestrally perception.
The kolibri is the path of the elder.
Here you’ll come in contact with the source and you will learn to know your own destination. Your destination is the goal of your soultravel.
The path of the kolibri will show you secrets, that can only dream or experience, but there are no words available to tell this.
The kolibri teaches us to see that we are always and everywhere in connection with our ancestors and everyone that lived before us. That we can release us from their undeveloped lifequestions, but always be in connection with their wisdom.



And in the East, the shaman will connect himself with the Condor, our energetic perception.
The condor is the path of the visionary.
Here you’ll learn to feel entity with everything, that you are part of the whole even when it’s quiet around you.
Visions will appear and it’s time to see your possibilities.
Now the seeds of healing and harmony will be sown for in the future, so that all your possibilities will be exploited optimally. Here you will learn to fly, wing to wing with the plan of the Great Spirit.
Your dreams won’t show up only in your dream moments anymore, here you’ll learn that everything you dream, can be true.
